Ball Nose
Greenleaf is on the cutting edge of productivity with new ball nose end mill, the newest addition to Excelerator Mill line of milling cutters and the only ceramic ball nose cutter available on the market today.
Greenleaf ball nose end mills are the only complete line of ball nose cutters designed to use both ceramic and carbide inserts in the same qualified cutter bodies. Combined with WG-600 ® ceramic and G-925 carbide inserts, the unique cutter geometry offers better performance, longer tool life and superior cutting action over competitors’ mills across a wider spectrum of materials.
Excelerator Mill
Greenleaf’s new line of small diameter end mills are designed for high performance milling in difficult to machine materials using Greenleaf’s advance ceramic inserts.
The cutter bodies, shanks & insert clamps have been developed to offer outstanding performance at elevated spindle speeds on the most demanding materials.
Typical application areas include most hardened materials above 40 HRc and nickel & cobalt based super alloys.
Hard milling applications in the Mold making and Tool & Die industries, Pocket Milling, Ramping & Helical Milling are now possible using indexable ceramic inserts.
WG300/WG600 – World’s Most Productive Whisker-Reinforced Ceramic Inserts
WG300 or WG600 whisker-reinforced ceramic inserts are extremely successful at machining hard materials such as hard steels and nickel- and cobalt-based super alloys, and offer excellent wear and shock resistance at high surface speeds.
WG300 and WG600 can outperform carbide and Silicon Nitride-based ceramics in heat-resistant alloys, hard steels, weld overlays and 400-series stainless steels.
WG300 and WG600 have outstanding thermal and mechanical shock resistance making it the grade of choice for intermittent cut applications, such as milling. Grooving and turning applications can also benefit from using WG300 and WG600 by reducing cycle time and extending tool life. |
