HIGH FEED MILLING

At a time when cutting production cost is a priority, one solution that allows you to reduce your machining times considerably is high feed machining.
Carried out with existing machines, this combines a low cutting depth with a high feed per tooth. It offers an alternative to high speed machining (HSM) without any heavy investment.

SILVER Drill

  • The SILVER Drill guarantees dimensions repetitiveness and provides good geometric qualities.
    The LCMT insert, rectangular in shape, consists of a strong carbide section that enables it to withstand difficult operating conditions, in diameters from 12 to 16 mm.
    The XPMT inserts, also very strong, feature 4 cutting edges and are fitted on drills from 16.5 to 30 mm in diameter.
    A single type insert can be used in both inboard and outboard positions eliminates set-up confusion and reduces inventory.
    The drill flute was particularly carefully designed to improve rigidity and resistance to erosion due to chip passage.
    The helical flute favours chip extraction, especially in deep drilling.
    For big series with 2 times and 4 times diameter drill depth, it’s the most economical solution.

The seat of the inserts, based on a triangular shape, enables great repositioning accuracy.

The removable inserts eliminate sharpening costs and are interchangeable between various tool holder sizes.
Its high rigidity enables it to drill without guidance or pre-holes in difficult operating conditions.
The geometries of the inserts associated with recent grades guarantee quality drilling in many materials.
The drill body has undergone special treatment giving its surface hardness in excess of 50HRC, wich guarantees great resistance to wear due to chip flow and provides better chip evacuation.
It’s the perfect versatility for accurate and deep holes from diameter 12.7 to 35 mm up to 8 times diameter.
